A quick intro

Alright, so real quick, I've gone with the name UX Writing Desk for a couple reasons. First, I really like the imagery of a physical space from which I can send notes to my followers. A friend once had a blog called the Drawing Room, a name taken from a sort of precursor to the modern living room, and I liked the idea of implying a physical space from which to jot down some ideas I've picked up as a UX designer.

Second, I’m likely going to be focusing on writing and communication more than anything else in the UX spectrum here, and third, this will probably be more about thoughts and observations than actual design work, so the concept of a writing desk felt more appropriate than a whiteboard or a conference room. It’s more armchair than frontlines.

I'm migrating a small handful of posts from my old Substack, because that site's kind of problematic to say the least, so if you've joined me from over there, welcome to what should be a more complete version of what I'd started with the original blog.
